Creative project for women in Luton

The Institute of Developing & Training (run by the founder of Women Talk – Helen Tucker) has secured funding co-financed by Skills Funding Agency, European Social Fund and The Consultancy Home Counties (TCHC) – to run a brilliant creative project for women in Luton.

Bringing together confidence building and self esteem sessions and the popular writing your story workshop, plus the addition of a filming and music workshop we are going to support unemployed women age 25 and over.

  • Face up to your fears
  • Recognise and change the beliefs that hold you back
  • Feel accepted for who you are

When you attend this creative project for women we show you, in a safe and secure environment, how great it is to be you.

You will get the support you need to write your story based on an event in your life. Don’t worry if you think you “can’t write” that is a common thought for many people who take part in the workshop. You really can and we will show you how.

This is a FREE 3-week course that runs from 10am – 2pm

Refreshments, lunch and childcare are included.

Here are some of the things you will get to take part in:

  • Writing your story workshop – write a very short story under 500 words with our help
  • Filming & music production workshops – put your story down on film
  • Confidence building and self-esteem sessions
  • Spoken word, composing lyrics and studio time sessions

You will begin your journey towards feeling more confident, begin to trust yourself and have a much more positive and proactive approach to life. You will begin to lift up your head, push those shoulders back and walk tall.

These free confidence building courses for women start from 20 October 2014 – April 2015.

If you, or anyone you know, would like to take part in this creative project for women in Luton please contact Helen on 01582 966470 to book your place or email info @ iodt.org for more details.
